Showed up to rent a car last Thursday at Edinburgh airport. Met with a long line of customers, most of whom were providing detailed complaints.

When I finally rented (after complaining that it was not the car I booked and being met with rude and surly replies - outright lies), I tried to detail several scratches, dents and other surface damage. When they didn't note the bumper scratches on the car and said "they are not deep enough", I took the car and left. Upon return, they went over the car with a fine tooth comb (should have been as diligent when I arrived) and claimed there was a scratch on the bumper (the very one I tried to detail.) When I argued my case, they simply said "write a letter to our head office" and proceeded to charge my close to 700 euro.

If they added up all the scratches and bumps on the car, they could pay for a new one! And I was not the only one they scammed, as various other renters were busy taking photos and arguing that damage was pre-existent.

Reason of review: At least 4 of the above!.

Monetary Loss: $700.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Kara zgodnie z załącznikiem do umowy zapowyższe uszkodzenia wynosi odpowiednio 596,06 € za uszkodzoną szybę, 227,17 € za tylne lewe nadkole, 290,40 € za uszkodzoną klapę bagażnika plus opłata administracyjna 70 €.

Kwota, która zostanie pobrana z Pani depozytu to600 € (maksymalna odpowiedzialność Pani za uszkodzenia)+ 70 € opłaty administracyjnej. Jeśli posiada Pani jakieś zdjęcia, bądź inne dowody, że wskazane uszkodzenia były już przed Pani wynajmem proszę nam przesłać, żebyśmy sięmogli do tego odnieść.>W załącznikach przesyłam Pani zdjęcia uszkodzeń oraz skany umowy.>
