First of all I paid in full for a mid size car (Booking Reference Number US361169460) about 2 weeks in advance. Arrived at airport at 7:30 am. 22nd March 2016, a very cold morning. I waited with my 8 year old daughter for 45 minutes, no shuttle. Called from my phone, and was told to wait 10 minutes. 45 minutes later, NO SHUTLE. BEWARE OF EXCESS REDUCTION DEPOSIT COSTS AND REFUND TIME! We just want to make other customers of GREEN MOTION CAR RENTAL aware of a BIG flaw with their Excess costs so other people don't have the same problems we have experienced. We hired a car from the GREEN MOTION CAR RENTAL in Milan Italy, when we arrived the vehicle was not on site so we had to wait a short while for it to be delivered. Green Motion -Edinburgh I picked a car up on the 1st of November it was damaged already which I signed for non fault. I paid the £995 excess. I was unfortunately involved in a multi car accident on the 2nd of November no fault of mines. Green Motion took a further £550 for recovery £250 storage in total £1800! I have rent a car from this branch, in 28/08/16 for about 8 days. As I pick up the car, inside was completely dirty but I try to not put them in a big bother, and just I look around the car, and I didn’t try to look any pics of the mm by mm. Stay well clear from this scam of a company. Car picked up in the dark! No damage when we returned but no member of staff present to check in. When I explained this to the front desk they said no problem I could go. 3 days later £1400 was taken from my card because they claimed scratches down one side! Scammers!!! They might look cheap but they earn their money from cheap tricks and scamming their clients. Awful experience. Stay well clear! Read more

Got a car at Luton Airport GM while raining and couldn't check it thoroughly. When I returned it they found these scratches and charged me 688 GBP! And the GM guy went straight to the scratches! Such a shame that this kind of scammers can't be stopped! The service was definitely slow and un-courteous. We had to wait in front of the the airport for the shuttle, in the rain, for more than 30 minutes. Then we finally managed to get to the rental... Read more

Avoid ! They charge me 35 Euros for refuelling the tank several days after the rental... and i returned it full. It is scam ! Really not professionnal I tried to contact them, but they say to use a lawyer to make a complaint. I even did not receive any invoice for the refuelling service they charged me. Above all the location is really bad, staff is not professionnal, they said me the return was ok, and fuel tank was full. So they lie to me.... Read more

We booked and paid for a hire car via holidaycars.com and to collect the car from Green Motion. After paying a GBP25.00 cab charge to get to the pick up point, there were quite a few people milling about and the majority of them were voicing their concerns about not having a hire car. Without a doubt, Green Motion is the worst car rental experience I've ever had and I will never be using them again. A friend and visited the UK from America last year (literally a year ago this past week - this becomes important later!).
