I've just had a very worry experience with this company. A tiny dent appeared on the boot door, which I had not seen at any point until after they pointed it out after I returned the car. Hired a car from Luton UK. the story is long, but the bottom line is the same for all the previous stories you have heard. this is the Worst ever Car Hire Company you should really do yourself a favor and stay clear. staff is unfriendly, they overcharge you on ridiculous things, this is not a one time incident, it's their policy as i have witness with several customers. thier Luton office is well hidden. i have heard many complaints about hat... We rented a car with Greenmotion from 16/7 till 27/6. We are disappointed in the quality of car and service. We are angry because you put us in danger with an old tyre (that had already been repaired). 1. The tyre (right back) was old (Nexen 2012) Whereas the other ones where new (Goodyear 2015). 2. It was overall the WORST experience in car rental I have ever had. The booking process was ambiguous, the price was the highest I have ever paid (100euros/day), the waiting period for car pick-up was very long and is customer service is poor. You pre-book car hire, in order to avoid long waiting periods and for greater efficiency. I was charged £388 for a minor dent in the boot door. Other customers at the same branch were being charged nearly £200 for a small scratch on a wheel and some others for being 5 minutes late in returning their car. On-line reviews of this company are terrible and their business practices are clearly designed to extract as much money from customers as possible through exploiting damage claims. Shocking customer service. Booked a car for 10pm, they don't mention an out of office fee after that time of course. Paid 36 pounds for that. Dropped the car off at 7am but the guy wasn't there to receive it til 715am and didn't offer to take us to the terminal. No apology for being late either. Not sure if they will screw me over for fictitious damage as yet but I hear it is common practice for these shysters. Read more

Largest scratch scam ever experienced: a 2 day rental turned out to be the most expensive 2 days in recent history when I was charged 600 Euro for an unnoticed scratch - no proof this was our doing. Please, learn from my experience. Go to a decent, reputable rental company. I rent a car twice a month for a week. Decided to try this rental company. DONT DO IT!!! They are incompetent and thieves. It took so long to turn the car in, they said I couldn't leave until they charged me. I explained that I already paid. I was late for my flight. I got a call that evening that said in fact I was doubled charged but wouldn't get my refund for more than 24 hours. I am still waiting for that!!!! Read more

Green Motion charged me 600 EUR for 3 almost imperceptible scratches, that I don't even know if they were caused during my rental period. The scratches could have been made before, during or after my rental. I wouldn't noticed them even with a careful inspection. Such a bad service. Make us buy extra inshurance . Car was not maintained properly.. Poor car seat.. All broken screen wipers. Rude never ever again. Please be aware !!
